New Emotional Pitch® Music Theory Course Offered in Sparks

Sparks, NV – The City of Sparks Parks and Recreation Department is offering a new musical skills class for ages 18 and older – Emotional Pitch® the Art of Music Theory. This innovative course is for all musicians beginner to advanced. The class will take place on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Larry D. Johnson Community Center, 1200 12th Street. The next session will be held January 6-27, 2017.  The cost per session is $120 or $100 for residents of Sparks, and includes all class materials.\r\n\r\nThe Emotional Pitch® course takes musical skills to a new level. The instruction starts with the essential, core ideas of music theory of intervals, scales and chords. Students will understand how songs work on an artistic level and learn how to blend musical notes to compose their own music. Emotional Pitch® reveals the emotion or function every note has. Basic knowledge of guitar or keyboard recommended (instrument not required in class).\r\n\r\nRegister online at www.cityofsparks.us, email recinfo@cityofsparks.us or call the Recreation Office at (775) 353-2376.
